FRILL
In 2010, I embarked on an exploration of unconventional materials in jewellery design. I began creating pieces by looping smooth nonwoven fabrics and packing foam around metal ring forms, introducing a striking contrast between the soft, pliable materials and the rigid metal structures.
During the time, I hadn’t encountered such materials—resembling paper and sponge—being utilized in jewelry making. Through extensive experimentation involving forming, shaping, cutting, and coloring these two atypical materials, I developed designs that were both organic and sculptural.
At a certain point, the collection evolved into elegant silver jewellery pieces, retaining the organic essence of the original soft materials while embracing the enduring beauty of solid silver.
