Silhouettes

Capturing Shadows

Inspired by childhood memories of candlelight hand shadows and my interest in silhouette drawings, I designed this collection to give wearers a piece of modern, wearable jewellery art with a nod to the past. 

I tried to add a modern twist to the art of paper-cut silhouette portraits and cameo carvings by combining industrial metalworking technology with traditional, centuries-old enamelling techniques and a non–traditional material, black sponge, which was all completed with handmade finishes.
